Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault following a road rage incident in Sudbury. It occurred at approximately 2:40pm on Friday 20 February on Melford Road, at the junction with Gainsborough Road, between a pedestrian and the passenger of a blue car. It was reported that as the pedestrian, a man aged in his 40s, was walking across the road the car came around a corner and stopped by him. The passenger, a man, is alleged to have shouted before getting out of the vehicle and assaulting the pedestrian. He then got back into the car which drove away. The pedestrian was not injured as a result of the incident. Officers are appealing for any witnesses to this incident and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
